Jeffrey Street - Edinburgh

Feeling super tired today after my exam; one more to go and then I'm free for the summer!

Anyway, on the way to the Exam Hall, I found this really nice, little shopping street in Edinburgh.

It's only a couple of minutes walk from Waverley Station, so perfect if you're travelling through and have a little while between trains.

Jeffrey Street (pictured below, on Google Maps, incase anyone is rubbish with directions!) is littered with nice bistro-style restaurants, individual furnishing shops, clothes boutiques and quirky giftshops. Itbur's definitely worth a visit if you're looking to see the more unique side of the city centre.

There's a really cute little sweetie shop, with the old fashioned jars and lovely gift ideas called Lickety Splits which is definitely worth a visit for locals and tourists.

There's also a very quirky designer clothes shop, for both men and women, called Corniche. I will admit, the clothes are not really to my taste, but there was no way I was going to walk past the Vivienne Westwood bags and shoes. Even if designer is not really your thing (hey, it's okay, it's not mine either!) take a wee peek, there's nothing wrong with a bit of window shopping. For those who are not located near Edinburgh, they also have an online shop which can be found here!

After all that shopping, if you find yourself a little hungry, continue along to St. Mary's Street and stop for a quick bite at Stac Polly Bistro; a lovely scottish restaurant, with a very relaxing atmosphere. Quite small so, perhaps, book to avoid disappointment!

Welcome!

Welcome to my brand-spanking-new blog!

I intend to fill it with general jibber jabber, about my life and the things that I come across throughout it.

I'll also post any particularly pretty, interesting or inspiring things I find whilst having a nose around the internet!

I live in Scotland but travel reasonably regularly, so hopefully there will be something that interests everyone.

I'm  a bit of a foodie, who likes a taste of luxury but isn't afraid to rough it if need be.

I'm a bit of an old lady stuck in a 21 year old's body. I do enjoy the odd cocktail or two but I'm not much of a binge drinker.  I love all things vintage and enjoy the occasional bout of arts and crafts, despite not necessarily being the most talented crafter out there.

I'm a huge worrier but I'm trying to work on that. I'm pretty pleased by the simple things in life, set me loose in a stationery shop and I'll be satisfied for weeks.

Enjoy!
x
