Bahama Breeze Yankee Candle

Horrendous ipad photo, howeverrrr, pretty sure I just had the most relaxing bath ever. Bliss!

The Bahama Breeze Yankee Candle is AMAZING, for anyone that might fancy it. At first glance it does seem a little pricey (for a candle, anyway) but when you take into consideration how long it lasts, it's actually pretty good value. I've had lit almost all day, for two or three days now, and there's barely a dent in it. It smells delicious! My boyfriend even commented and, trust me, it's unusual for him to notice something like that!

I have the large jar, which you can purchase here for £14.99.

How cute are these?!

So excited to get some of these nail decals to wear at Disneyland! Yes, I'm still a child at heart! Just need to decide which ones to go for.

Help!

One more exam to go, so hard not to lose concentration.

Starbucks Frappuccino (Mocha Chocolate Flavour) - Yummy Yummy!

Getting through the last couple of revision days by filling myself up with Starbucks Frappuccino low-fat coffee drinks.  Just as yummy as the Frappuccinos that you get in store, if you ask me! A great alternative for people, like myself, who don't have a Starbucks on their doorstep Only a £1 from most local supermarkets (definitely have them available in most Tesco and Asda stores)

Keep Calm and Sparkle On

A motto to live by; never lose your sparkle!

Maddy the Golden Retriever

Maddy, the cutest golden retriever ever,  getting camera shy, rather quickly!

Don't let her fool you though, she's a little drama queen at heart!

Tip for Staying Organised

Being an over-organised weirdo with my monthly calendar!

Each month I fill this board in with the things I'm doing, the things my boyfriend will be up to and the things we will be doing together!

This idea is not for everyone, and  I'm sure it annoys my, very laid-back, boyfriend no end buuuut I'm a massive planner and really enjoy knowing what I'm going to be doing, so I can take the time to look forward to it. I think it's a great way to stay on top of things, whether it's deadlines for students or all the different activities for a family.

JUST LOOK AT IT'S EARS!!

Jeffrey Street - Edinburgh

Feeling super tired today after my exam; one more to go and then I'm free for the summer!

Anyway, on the way to the Exam Hall, I found this really nice, little shopping street in Edinburgh.

It's only a couple of minutes walk from Waverley Station, so perfect if you're travelling through and have a little while between trains.

Jeffrey Street (pictured below, on Google Maps, incase anyone is rubbish with directions!) is littered with nice bistro-style restaurants, individual furnishing shops, clothes boutiques and quirky giftshops. Itbur's definitely worth a visit if you're looking to see the more unique side of the city centre.

There's a really cute little sweetie shop, with the old fashioned jars and lovely gift ideas called Lickety Splits which is definitely worth a visit for locals and tourists.

There's also a very quirky designer clothes shop, for both men and women, called Corniche. I will admit, the clothes are not really to my taste, but there was no way I was going to walk past the Vivienne Westwood bags and shoes. Even if designer is not really your thing (hey, it's okay, it's not mine either!) take a wee peek, there's nothing wrong with a bit of window shopping. For those who are not located near Edinburgh, they also have an online shop which can be found here!

After all that shopping, if you find yourself a little hungry, continue along to St. Mary's Street and stop for a quick bite at Stac Polly Bistro; a lovely scottish restaurant, with a very relaxing atmosphere. Quite small so, perhaps, book to avoid disappointment!

Rouge Edition Lipstick - Bourjois Paris

Without lipstick.

Wearing Rouge Edition
(Shade 06) Lipstick
by Bourjois Paris.

Today I tried out my new lipstick. I thought it would be a pinky/ orangey shade  but it's more a shiny, light pink. I wouldn't say it's a good choice if you're going for a dramatic look, but it's quite nice as an alternative to lip balm or gloss.

Doesn't feel too heavy on my lips and was reasonably easy to apply, however, by the time I had eaten my breakfast there was only a vague shine left.

As I said, a nice alternative to a lip balm, as long as you're prepared to reapply it throughout the day, but not the wow-factor I was hoping for.

Puppy Birthday!

My beautiful baby on her birthday!

Asda Fineliners

A little tip for any other left-handers out there, who have lived with the never ending pen mark on the side of their hand. These pens from Asda are fabulous! They're only £1, last ages and I promise you'll be smudge free.

Disneyland Paris

Can't wait to be here soon and face the dragon that lies beneath!

Derren Brown - Apocalypse

Today has been filled with last minute revision for my exams, whilst watching clips of Derren Brown. I find his stuff hugely interesting and gripping. Definitely going to look out for tickets to one of his shows.

Apocalypse is definitely one of my favourites. Assuming the guy is not an actor, it's a hugely impressive feat. Very inspiring and definitely puts things in to perspective.

Welcome!

Welcome to my brand-spanking-new blog!

I intend to fill it with general jibber jabber, about my life and the things that I come across throughout it.

I'll also post any particularly pretty, interesting or inspiring things I find whilst having a nose around the internet!

I live in Scotland but travel reasonably regularly, so hopefully there will be something that interests everyone.

I'm  a bit of a foodie, who likes a taste of luxury but isn't afraid to rough it if need be.

I'm a bit of an old lady stuck in a 21 year old's body. I do enjoy the odd cocktail or two but I'm not much of a binge drinker.  I love all things vintage and enjoy the occasional bout of arts and crafts, despite not necessarily being the most talented crafter out there.

I'm a huge worrier but I'm trying to work on that. I'm pretty pleased by the simple things in life, set me loose in a stationery shop and I'll be satisfied for weeks.

Enjoy!
